Report from Colney - Train with the Stars Day

My daughter won a chance to train at Colney in the indoor arena after I entered a competition on the Official Site.

/ Gossy took 16 kids training in the indoor arena for two hours. They all loved it. A real mix of abilities, but he made them all feel welcome, wanted, and was a top top host. Gemma had a great time, struggled with the pace of things a couple of times, got smacked with the ball once but was always smiling.
/ No interesting sightings to report of players. I thought I saw Spillane, but was unsure of whether he was in Sweden.
/ I saw a car with a number plate TOM 8 Y on the A11 near Norwich. Reminded me of a wotb'er. I wonder if he was in the area?
/ The chef at Colney cooks a mean lasagne. The potato wedges are very tasty as well, but we ate this for dinner not lunch. Sorry
/ Gossy signed my 92/93 speckled shirt
/ I chatted to a guy who said that Steve Downes set up the original Cullum interview. (This may be old news but I've got bored of all the takeover stories now)
/ Gossy really loves his job. We were taken round Colney, he gave us a potted history of the place, and kept on talking before he realised we need to be out as the youth team were due to train or play a game.
/ The day cost me ?50 in petrol, and a days holiday,(I live in NW London so we drove to Norwich), but was really worth it.
