It angers me that people are so desperate to hammer it home about how he should have stayed, when he hadn't done enough to earn it
No amount of great performances in a poor league is going to prove anyone right or wrong
You might have noticed I haven't said anything about his first game. Why would I? I know he's not going to be fit. That'll take about 5 matches at least.
On the same subject, it annoys me how desperate people go looking for Doherty in any match report. He's a good defender and the masses should get off his back. The amount of times he's just blamed for a goal when wasn't his doing is untrue.
Even when it's proven not to be, someone will still say "so what, he's still s**t"
Yet a player who was having a poor season last, leaves and it's single most talked about thing all summer, even though he wasn't even in the running for pots
