Towards the end of last season
I think I watched 3 games in the last 2 months of the season (English football)
I never really realised until someone said to me that I love footy really and I'll always watch games. So there and then I tracked back to the last game I watched and it was man u arsenal about 2 weeks previous, then the one before that was 2 weeks
All I was doing was, going in the chatroom for a laugh on our games, and watching Spanish footy
I really thought we were getting somewhere with survival and Roeder being accepted. Hoolahan was a nice treat of a signing, and I really trust Roeder in the loan market after various successes
I was looking forward to this season, and a turning of the corner for everyone, then this Cullum thing has dragged the morale level right back down again, and will be used time and time again against the board and the team
That and I see ridiculous transfers already, not just the prem but the championship again, things like Carsley on 25k a week at brum
The club will always be around, but Murdoch has done his best to alienate the premiership from the rest of football, and it's not even for the good of the game or the fan
With that in mind, I can see me watching less and less this season and finding something else to do
I plan 5 games for us this season, though, If I read or hear reports of turmoil amongst the fans or distasteful support towards the team (ala Delia Mugabe, ffs), then I'll probably only do one, sample it and again, do something else to enjoy myself
I'll never understand flat demands from the fans to be deserving of the top league, especially when the gulf in money is making that harder and harder
That and the obvious point that our history points from all quarters that we don't deserve to be in the premiership/old division 1 as for hundred years we've fluctuated from the 2nd and 3rd tier.
So to hit the big time once every 10 years (or twice sometimes), isn't a failure, it's more an achievement
