I said when we hired him that I dont expect him to be here a long time either way.
He is a quality manager who is rebuilding his rep.
If he does a solid job here he will have the pick of the medium to lower end prem jobs.
People look at this as a bad thing but its just like having a player who is too good for this division.
Thats not a bad thing. (shame we dont have one currently!)
The shame is it would have been interesting what he would have done with a 20 million budget.
Adding that sort of quality to the playing staff with his organization it would have been pretty hard not to be at/near the top of the table in this division IMHO.
An extra 2 or 3 quality players makes a HUGE difference in a close division such as the champs.
