he was choking the big points in sets one and two (as I explained but I doubt you understand the game enough to have noticed), but then picked his game up superbly.
Choking simply means playing the big points poorly - tensing up at the crucial moments.
As I say, doubt you've ever really played sport to a decent level so sure you don't understand Gareth.
