I reckon we will sign a foreign midfielder to replace Francis....

as we have to replace like with like in terms of quality and the only player in the Championship who springs to mind is Sidwell he i doubt very much we will get. There are no players in the lower leagues that i am aware of, maybe a Premiership fringe player perhaps might be the answer but off the top of my head again i ca'nt think of anybody. Maybe another season long loan for say Jon Welsh at Liverpool would do.

Failing any of the above then Worthy may well go for a foreigner, he has broken the mould in signing Colin so maybe his views on signing foreigners have changed? I'm sure that we could get a player on the continent for a lot less than we would have to pay for a Brit of similar quality. He wo'nt sign an Italian, Portugese, Spanish or French player but a German, Belgium or Dutch player might be his cup of tea. Then of course there is the Scandinavian market where the likes of someone like Magne Hoset might be available for a price within our range.
