If Neil Diamond had played a normal concert not a festival,

Would all those people who saw him and are calling him cool and a legend, be bothered to go? I think not. Why is it that because he played to a bunch of monged out students in a field he suddenly becomes popular? i bet not one of them goes to see him again.
