I think it's been going on for a few years in scotland too.I first spotted when Momo Sylla

had a great game for St Johnstone (I think) against Celtic

Celtic won the game but only just, and he was a threat to them the whole time. Within a period after that game, Sylla signed for Celtic (600K I think), and then went on to hardly play for them, although did in dribs and drabs the following seasons

It's not that they really wanted him, it's the fact that they just buy from the nearest danger to snuff out any threat to their's, and Rangers crown

I guess the same way Liverpool are after Barry, as they finished well under O'Neill and are the nearest threat to Liverpool's top 4 finish

It seems a lot of these promising players bought by the old firm, are promising, but they're bought to make other teams weaker

Like a lot of other leagues, the old firms better players are from abroad
