So why was the share price raised in October

The club's assets are largely property - at that time property values were beginning to fall.
At the time of the AGM the club was without a manager and in the relegation zone - suggestive of poorer future revenue.
Yet the share price went up.

And in around a fortnight an offer was made to buy a controlling interest in the club.
