Cracking little statement from the club, PR section finally doing something well.
Its right hinterestin this.
Well, it will be for a couple of days until it starts doing some damage.
I don't want to see this negotiation done in public as no one wins.
It is very clever of the club to let people know what a more realistic price would be to give us "?20m to spend on players".
I want to see Cullum involved, with that fortune who wouldn't? I also want to see a bit of his harder nosed style too.
I love our club and image I really do, but we have a tendancy to let people f**k us over too easily (scum scoreboard incident and the recent kicking of a city scarf at their hole, not the resoundingly different responses).
However Delia, MWj and the other directors have put a lot of time and effort into this club, and deserve to get a decent price for their shares as a result. Remember that money will be from PC NOT from us. Also the laons may be repaid, but they wont be getting back the interest that cash could have made them if saved, or invested in the stockmarket (er actually they may have had a lucky escape there!).
I hope this doesn't get messy, I fear it may, and that is really down to both parties though.
PC for making this public, but also the current board for maybe not keeping a dialogue open.
