Do I detect an air of cynicism?

The way this has come out is interesting, clearly planned, and hopefully won't result in division and problems over the next few weeks and months.

The board are going to have little choice in what happens next, if the deal is not accepted it will be nigh on impossible to placate the fans, regardless of the reasons why.
Of course, so far, I see no reason why it shouldn't be accepted, hopefully some detail will be forthcoming.
