The move's going to break down, isn't it?
Yet again the only concrete information we know of is the fact that Paul Jewell's been told by Finnigan that Francis wants to sign (exactly what he told Portsmouth, right?).
Just have a feeling that the deal isn't what they want - so they're looking for other clubs to come in with an offer. I'm sure that Wigan isn't a club he'll be keen on joining at all, especially with it's distance from London.
If Francis has any sense he won't move, issue an apology to the fans (deflect blame onto the agent, Huckerby did) and offer to put things right through his performances. Get that done, play out of his skin for the three games next week, perhaps get a goal or two and all will be forgiven...right?
