Can't go wrong with Berlin really

Was in Warsaw for a couple of days last year. Not worth 4 days really; but had a cracking good night out on the wrong side of the river.

You can fly direct to Gdansk from Liverpool can't you? Surprisingly lovely old town, lots of new bars & restaurants and all the Solidarnosc stuff as well. There's a beach resort about 30 mins north too if that's your thing.
