actually his analysis was better than, say, Beglin's
at least they're talking about things you can't really see on the telly - formations, midfields getting beyond the oppo etc.
Whereas Beglin is all "I think that was a foul...I think that was a corner.....he dived there...."
ie you get the impression he never actually takes his eye of the ball. Which you can see for yourself.
