and I totally agree with you - but until teh system is changed what can you do - he wants to play football , he is relatively good at playing football - therefore he has to play in what is on offer - and tnat is leagues , cups etc
There is a boy in the year above him , who is signed to the NCFC academy and they have banned him from playing for anyone else next season - I cannot work that one out as they play oncea month
