Funny you should say that as after the Swiss-Turke game

an Austrian reporter was presenting piece from one of the fanzones in Basel. The pissed up, knob jockey fans behind him relising they were all on telly started gurning at the camera and bellowing a rendition of Ingerlund, Ingerlund, Ingerlund... and people wonder why Europe has a bad image of the English football fans.

Having said one of the local free newpapers ran a story about English hoolies wanting to come out to Basel and get a bit naughty, front page and page 3 full of buzz cut fatties covered in blood(no evidence that they were English) looking for a fight. The essence of the story was that some keyboard warrior had suggested it on a forum (www.ave-it.com, oh dear lord), the evidence of which had been deleted when the reporter was doing the research but she was sure it had appeared and a security cheif had said he was aware of such a post. That was it, completely non-story but why not bash the English fans it beats talking about just how bad the Swiss team were.
