I don't totally buy into it. I reckon it's more to do with a few things

All the things said above about being marked more heavilly and found out

The other being the transfer speculation which might have stopped him being so focussed

Couple that with Wise leaving, and he might gone through a spell where inside, he might really like Leeds, and couldn't understand why wise and poyet left, so questioned himself, his attitude and what he wants out of the game

I think the lack of goals second half of the season are definitely a lack of focus over his actual ability

I question whether he can take the step up, but I also wonder if last year was a big learning curve for Beckford, in that football is quite a back stabbing business, and the quicker you learn to be in for yourself alone, and pretend to love a club, the more you'll achieve
