Older players should have taken him under their wing given him advice , helped him to handle the publicity he found himself exposed too , I know it was only Beccles and Bungay but he was a local lad making good and you don't always attract the right sort of person

And you are right the only person to blame is yourself but sometimes outside influences cloud your decisions
