Who's the chap on here that does web design?
Looking to change career and wondering what steps to take, which courses to look at, which programs to use, what coding knowledge is best, how long it takes to get started etc in the world of web design.
I've had a little browse of learndirect:

But would prefer to hear from a horse's mouth what the best way to approach it would be...
I like to think that I know my way around a computer fairly well (more on the hardware side than the software / programming side, to be honest) and I'd be looking to study / learn while continuing with my current job.
Where do I start? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
