did I say the country was f**ked? I said it was all rather shambolic.
Further, when quoting the home office, I was pointing out that statistically crime is rising. Their interpretation and summary that "it is stable" is just their assessment. Rises of 2 to 5% on certain crimes, 10% on vandalism alone cannot be virtually ignored by the HO although it appears to do just that.
