Follow the Hull template?

Hull have done well and will do better than Derby next season for one reason, they are a team! Not a squad of players but a team, a few years ago the like of Ashbee and Myhill have played for Hull from the bottom tear and will probably play in the Premier League as well, They then added players (not whole new squads but shrewd additions) like Turner and Brown that strengthened the team and allowed them to consolidate there league position and then push for promotion. The surgery we're currently undergoing i don't think will bring instant sucess but will lay the foundations for seasons to come.
Players like Huckerby and Croft of course have a place in the squad, i don't think you'd want Russell on the wing and now would you want Huckerby in the centre of midfield. If all the point of the article is that you need a balanced team to succeed in the championship then well done, i wish i could get a job where i could state the obvious quite so much, but a lot of Hull's success is based on a steady progress not trying to rush out of league for fear of dropping out of them. Norwich need to build a team now, get a lot of players in, have a consolidation season and then look to push on, as the 10 or so players that we all hope are going to come in will undoubtedly give some abject performances while they learn how each other plays.

Anyways onwards and upwards
