"Now seems the appropriate time to put on record the club's appreciation of everything Darren Huckerby did for us. But also to thank a man without whose help Darren would never have signed for us.
When we spoke to local businessman Carl Moore in December 2003, he readily agreed to help meet the total financial cost of bringing Darren to Carrow Road on a permanent transfer from Manchester City and, in the process, making the football world sit up and take note.
Carl, thank you for your invaluable contribution to the club's history.
