which is totally different to news blogs per se. Football you can only write first hand information from attending matches. The rest is second hand info, whispers, rumours, opinion and a tiny tiny bit of leaked info.

General news blogs etc, like politics, there's plenty of first hand stuff the public can be witness to, to be able to write about.
