the ref's performance didn't spoilt it all for me.

'course the players were cynical and sly at times - nothing new there - but fortunately none of that really affected the game, unlike sometimes (no pelanties bought by dives, no red cards resulting from hysterical over-reaction, that kind of thing).

Not really any violent tackles that I can recall, either (no-one got injured, did they?)

So for once I thought that stuff didn't really get in teh way of a good game. But there we are - different strokes, I suppose.
