How often are our purchases announced by the selling club?

Even when they are the deals are pretty much done and dusted when anything is leaked. We all doubted Ashton would sign once news got out, but the best young striker in England still signed on the dotted line once it was knowledge they'd accepted a bid.

That would suggest to me it was just the dotting of i's and crossing of t's that needed doing with the majority of groundwork put it. It's so infuriating as a fan, but I'm sure we do conduct ourselves the way a club should do.
