My brother's got a 2.5 V6 Ford Mondeo, might well be the same engine.

His used to be a police car a number of years ago, and f**k me it shifts when you open the taps, even now. And roars.

My Dad used to have an ex-police car too. It was a Morris Traveller 1000 (half-timbered at the back). He was once pulled over on the Mulbarton Road by the copper that used to have it as his squad car, not for doing anything wrong, just 'cos the copper wanted to see how his old motor was doing. This would have been in the early 70s or something when policemen still rode bikes and caught criminals.
