There simply has to be more to Darren Huckerby's release than we are aware of. What manager in his right mind would let his star player go for nothing when he has still probably got a couple of years left in him at Championship level?
Add to this that Hucks has now got his fitness back and desperately wants to carry on playing for City and the mystery is simply compounded.
No wonder the immediate interest in his availability from all over the world. I am a great admirer of Glenn Roeder but I do wonder if this is his first real mistake.
It's not too late to pick up the 'phone Glenn.......and grovel!!
