hucks - a man who knows another man told me...
Hucks was sort of on 'on trial' for the last few games. He'd been asked to be more aware of his defensive duties - positionally rather than being asked to tackle like a full back.
Hucks gave it a go and made his own decision - he thinks of himself as a third striker not as a wide midfielder. In effect, the decision to release Hucks was mutual - no acrimony.
Apparently, the decision about whether he went or stayed was still in the balance before the Sheff Weds game. The second half sealed it for both parties. Hence, the lack of bitterness on Hucks' part.
Obviously, I met the man who knows in the pub. So make of it what you will.
