just looked up Huckerby on Soccerbase

This season he has played 34 league games scored 5 goals

Last season 40 games , 8 league goals

2005 / 6 - 43 games , 8 league goals

So his games played ratio is dropping , his goals tally falls into line with that and next season who is to say he would have played 25 games, which , if he is the highest paid player at the club , is a bit of a luxury

He is 32 years old , not quite as quick as he was

Isn;t it better that Hucks leaves now , with us wanting more , than becoiming a player who stays too long , becomes rubbish and the fans turn against him

He will forever be a hero this way
