that's highly debatable

I confess I haven't seen the away games and so can't comment on them, but of the home games he was pretty good against Colchester and Burnley (especially the latter, though arguably not our best player in either game) then back to being merely OK against Baggies and QPR.

That was his best spell of the season and he still didn't look like he was worth being the club's highest wage earner. And he still forces us to play a silly 4-3-3 thing.

He was unbelievable in 2003/4 (as we'll never forget) but since then we have been a poor TEAM and the huge gaps in Hucks' game have often been part of that.

He is a crowd-pleaser, in an age when they are a rarer breed, but he no longer makes us a better team (results this season have generally been better when he hasn't played) and it is for the best that he goes out now (though the manner of it can and will be deabted for ages!)
