The current squad has won 1.6 points per game with some poor finishing up front.

That is 100% playoff/promotion form.

If we could add a bit more quality up front and some quality at the back we might have a chance to do something next year.

No team in this division has brilliant players from top to bottom.
Thats why nobody is running away with the title.

If I was a "big picture" guy I would say that part 1 of the turnaround has been done.
We have cleared out the dead wood, brought in some quality, now we have to add the pieces that will turn us from being a midtable club into a promotion contender.
