Do we really still not know?
In December (see below) it was "we don't KNOW they aren't going to put money into a January transfer fund, and if they were then of course they would keep it secret". No doubt in May it will be "we don't KNOW that they aren't putting money into a summer transfer fund, and if they were then of course they would keep it secret". And then in December it will be ....
How many more transfer windows will have to come and go without the Turners putting up any cash (real cash, not interest free loans) before you acknowledge that this is all fantasy?
Roeder: “The board have bent over backwards to help me. A lot of managers won't have any money to spend in January so the fact that we have some money is very encouraging."
Only on here could this be interpreted as the Turners / Board not giving him any money to spend.

I'm talking HISTORY, Trickster, HISTORY
They GOT ONTO the board in return for the square root of bugger all. Past tense. That is historical FACT.
I can't think of many decent sized clubs where you could buy a seat - no, two seats - on the board for as little as that.
I agree that looking FORWARDS they may put some more in. I bloody hope so, anyway. Though if ever there was a natural moment for them to show their intended generosity it was the Tiny transfer, so I'm not as hopeful as I was.
I do sometimes wonder if they wouldn't actually mind relegation, so that they could buy Delia out at the bottom. That would be cynical and hardnosed, but you don't get as rich as that by not being cynical and hardnosed.

But we don't know this, do we?
[We may do - I haven't read the club's accounts....)
But do we know they didn't give Roeder a transfer kitty to spend? Which he is currently choosing not to spunk entirely on Taylor?

Have to disagree.....
What we know is that they have acquired two seats which AT LEAST cost of the interest on £2m. We have no idea on whether they are OBLIGED to cough for more in the future.

Not if we wanted to keep the transfer kitty a secret, presumably
Roeder now says he has cash to spend in Jan. May or not come from the Turners. And it may or may not been what clinched them their seats on the board.

Yeah right
When did the Turners get on the board?
This is such bollocks. They got a ridiculously cheap entry. They are not under any obligation to put up any more money. The suggestion that they might be is utter fantasy and speculation.

mmmm. When you resort to swearing it always means you're on shaky ground.
Your assertion that they have not committted to putting any funds in is speculation, just like any assertion that they definitely have is.

You've morphed into Arganth
"Ah, we don't KNOW that the Turners haven't signed a secret contract agreeing to put in ten million a year, do we? That's cos it would be SECRET. We don't KNOW that they aren't going to shell out for purchases in January, do we? You can't PROVE they aren't big benefactors behind the scenes, can you?"
It's just rubbish. The Turners got on the board for peanuts. If the fact that we can't buy, for about £1m, the centre half we've been gagging for since Malky left is all the evidence I need to show me that the club can't MAKE the Turners cough up more under some "secret deal", and that the Turners aren't pesonally INCLINED to stump up liberally.
Until you can produce any evidence that there MIGHT be the secret deal you're clinging to in defence of your ridiculous position that the Turners may not have got cheap seats on the board (such evidence being, err, evidence of money coming in) then you don't have a leg to stand on.
