I know it sounds a bit far fetched, but I wonder

if Roeder is channelling his full energy on the qpr game, and wants everyone picked for that game to be really up for it

If you take a player out of the team for one game, then they will want to prove something to themselves and the manager, and what better game to do it than QPR, rather than against West Brom, of which he could have probably given his all physically and mentally, but we could have still lost

Who knows
