Well Said Judge-Its Embarassing TBH
Doncaster's hidden pitch for it as sales are clearly low is desperate and embarassing. They are peddling second, third rate kiddy pop and celebs to a football audience that comes to Carrow Road to watch and celebrate one thing-football, and, if not a successful football team, then one we can enjoy watching and be proud of. Well, successful we are clearly not, nor have been since they so miserably failed to build on the promotion. Enjoyment-I should say not, with a few exceptions, this season has hardly been that, and, as for proud-well, I'm not proud of their pleading for us to have some sort of interest in this "event" when it could coincide with relegation-that'll be some swansong (and I hope that is for some people if we do go down) if we are playing League 1 football next season.
The club seems forever intent on blowing the trumpet for its "legends", harking back as far as the days of Ted McDougall (both sold cheaply and as soon as a few £££ were flashed at the board then, nothing changes!) right up to today, and, lo and behold, we are told Iwan, Malky and Hucks will be there, and they are also "legends" now apparantly, well, shame they haven't been treated as such, Malky bombed out, Iwan likewise (and I still maintain he would have been good to have in the squad that Prem season) and Hucks looking all set to go next month, are they going to make it "farewell Hucks" and sell T Shirts, I bet they are!
It would be nice to celebrate and have some cheer for moments today and those to come, rather than banging on about the Euopean squad, the Milk Cup winning squad, and now, next season, the 1950's FA Cup semi final squad, what will we be celebrating in future seasons I wonder, will they be getting the side together that lost in that FA Cup Semi vs Sunderland or something?
Lets think of now, not the bloody past all the time.
