thing is County Cricket is fantastic

when it's played at out grounds.

The festival like atmosphere when Lancs play at Blackpool is really special ( the marquees, beer tents and 2/3000 fans soaking up the atmosphere) and I've always found the games really enjoyable.
Compare that to the average county match at Old Trafford played out in front 2/300, most of whom seem to be asleep.

I'm sure it's only because it's one game per season that makes it that way, but that highlights the problem with County Cricket in general and the attraction of 20/20 (and any one off event for that matter) at present.
