with £13m cheque tucked in his back pocket the club would jump into bed with him in a heartbeat. As would 99% of the others, at least those outside the top league. The idea that as an arms fair organiser his money is somehow 'tainted' is risible. It is fair to say that due diligence would have to give a clean bill of health, but you know no more about him than I do so to condemn him out of hand just sounds like very sour grapes.
