The headset might only allow itself to pair with one device - i.e. your old phone.

Press all the buttons, take the batteries out, put the batteries back in, press all the buttons one by one, hold all the buttons down for 2 seconds, hold each of the buttons down for 2 seconds. Hold down every permutation of combinations of buttons for two seconds.

Eventually it will reset.
