As we were on 20 points and looking doomed, he was sick of the criticism going his way, pressuring him to drop players like Holt, so he chose them for the man utd game, and was semi expecting to lose and come out and say "there, told you, same thing happens whoever plays", to use it to defend his management skills

Instead, we were bloody brilliant and then went on the run that nearly kept us up
