For anyone who wants a mortgage this year....a shock awaits

In March 2006, you could have found a 2-year fixed rate mortgage at 95% loan-to-value, at 4.30% with a £399 fee over 30 years.

Now you will be extremely lucky to find the same product for under 5.5% with a £1,499 fee!
