But how will the extra point effect promotion? What happens to teams in the playoffs, who could be home or away first if Stoke end up between 3rd and 6th? What about the policing arrangements which need to be made in advance for these matches? Or the ticketing arrangements?

Remember when City were in the playoffs we all received letters a couple of weeks before about how to apply for tickets and the arrangements.

How do teams play on the last day of the season if they need, one, two or three points to stay up or are relying on goal difference?

What about a team who may need a win, and decide to risk another forward on the bench as opposed to another goalkeeper, and later find out that they may have just needed a draw?

End possibilities are possible effecting a number of clubs.

Hence a quick decision required.
