Thoughts on Saturday
1. Gutted at losing that. I would have been disappointed with a point the way the match went but to lose all 3 to a last minute winner from the ultimate journeyman striker was devastating. When you win games like that you know its your year and Bristol will probably go up if thats the sort of luck they are getting.
2. Thought we played really well and it was our best away display for a long time. We looked a really well balanced side with Betrand and Semi at fullback and the midfield boys all having good games. Once we equalised I was convinced we would go on to win it.
3. Croft was outstanding after coming on and tore them to peices every time.
4. Absolutely shocking decision from D'urso. At the time we were away and I was screaming at him for not playing the advantage thinking he had given us a free kick. Could not believe it when he gave it to them. Having said that we should still have been able to defend the free kick.
5. Decent enough and pleasingly vocal away turnout and enjoyably old school away end. Could not see the goal at our end a lot of the time but enjoyed roaming around the gangways all game very much!
6. This will be the year when the 3 sh*ttest teams ever get promoted to the Prem and they will all come straight back down again. i suppose I would rather it was Bristol than Stoke or Watford but frankly they are bang average and I am somewhat at a loss as to how they are up where they are. Would not be surprised if we get hit by the double whammy and they lose at Saints next weekend.
7. Burnley is now massive.
