just didn't warn to her in the slightest and had no interest at all in whether she succeeded in saving her parents or what the outcome of that storyline would be
only stuck with it through sheer bloodymindedness
(though will probably end up watching the 2nd series too, but am hoping that now that her parents are dead that bit gets forgotten about and we see more amusing stuff with Gene, Ray and Chris), the whole series was on the whiffy side, as i pointed out after the first episode.
