I'm paid in DKK, which is linked to the Euro (still ERM II I think)

Sterling was somewhere around DKK 11-12 over the last six years; but noticed it was 9.8 the other day.

US and UK are both deeply mired in two very costly wars, of course. The UK is also spending s**t-loads on PFI, the costs of which are high now; but'll be extortionate in 10-15 years time. Although since it's large companies that are making all the money out of that, the markets don't care yet.
