Two thoughts on the draw

1. Really disappointed that Pompey and West Brom have drawn each other now: that'd have been a cracking final, whereas whoever gets through now (Pompey, surely) will have no problem with Cardiff or Barnsley.

2. But on the other hand... whenever Norwich get knocked out of any Cup, and especially the proper Cup, I always play the "what might've been?" game - how far could we have gone? In 2003, for example, we were a bit unlucky at Southampton, and could've made the final had we got past them. Last season, I was really happy we'd at least got to the 5th round, and were knocked out by a side we had no chance of beating: no room for regrets at all.

But this year, ever since the Bury replay, I've felt pissed off. We clearly could've made the last 8, and would've had some sort of chance against West Brom at home - but imagine if, in some form of parallel universe, we'd all been leaping around at making the semis in such a unique year for the Cup, had a two in three chance of a very winnable tie... yet had drawn sodding Portsmouth! I'd have been gutted: we'd have had no chance against them.
