the amount of times I saw minimal contact and Ronaldo or any other man utd player was on their knees looking at the ref for a freekick, and he gave it nearly every time, EXCEPT, when it was in the box because he couldn't decide the intent
It wasn't much, but it was an advantage to man utd that they got these decisions, when man utd players did it to pompey and they went down, he played on, meaning a player was out of position and man utd were on the attack. Pompey couldn't afford to test the referee to see if he'd be fair, so they got on with it
For the penalty, the ref had no other option, Baros was going to score and the keeper brought him down
