Makes sense in a way

It keeps the rules the same at all levels of the game. There's also the nightmare of not only ensuring that the systems work correctly at all time, but that they are totally free of outside influence.

I remember when they tried using electronic systems for determining ball in/out in tennis - something which happens continuously, not a few times a year by the way - and quite frequently they would either be wrong, or crash and spazz out completely!
