I think Roeder has been correct in having a go at Neil Adams and also the supporters.

Adams had his say in public. Roeder responded in kind through the media. Likewise the supporters. At least he’s doing it from a position of strength unlike Grant and Worthington.

Adams is a junior employee of the club in a unique position and he overstepped the mark in Canary Call after the Leicester game. His comments were a direct criticism of Roeder’s team selection; which was as a matter of opinion, not fact.

And yes, the first two games where Gibbs and Henry featured were very poor, and in my view we were playing with ten men for the majority of these two games.

Which lead me onto to the criticism of us, the supporters. Yes we can say what we like about tactics, selections and NCFC through bulletin boards, fanzines, and supporter columns in the local newspapers. Messrs Aitken, Gedge, Balls, and NCISA, the Man in the Stand and the Capital Canaries have their own soapboxes to air their views. Some do it better than others. Some shouldn’t bother, but luckily Birds Eye View is no more.

Those fans that bleat about the manager having a go at them remind me of supporters who call a player a w**ker, c**t, and all sorts of obscenities then complain to the police that the player, has responded in kind to them when he’s getting subbed off. Deal with it and grow up.

After the disastrous last year of the Worthington era, where the relationship between the fans and the club all but broke down we had to endure an even worse year of Grant.

Perhaps Roeder should realise, after enduring the last two years, why we are questioning things. And we should realise why he is responding. What more could he have done than get us to mid-table after starting from a base of eight points from over a quarter of the season?

Both the fans and Roeder have had their say. Time for both of us to move on.
