With player turnovers and the money spent so high people demand instant success, especially when a transfer budget is decent.
To be fair to our board, Hamilton, Grant and Worthington all left our club on the slide. Rioch felt he had no backing - and at that time he was right I guess.
Hamilton and Grant had to go - no question - Worthington really losing out because of the way he used the Parachute payments and failed to get the team playing again. He also ballsed up the Premiership somewhat, but really he won't be the first or last manager to do that - just look at Billy Davies and Mick Mccarthy for managers making an even bigger balls up of it!
