The style of play
which Arsenal employ has made other teams try to emulate them. So you might say that the overall standard of play in the country has improved as a result. If the youth players he has coming through who are English aren't good enough (and you can't polish a turd, no matter what they say), what else can he do but look elsewhere?
At least he doesn't just try to buy up the opposition.
