I don't know why people are getting so worked up about this

to me it's a 50-50 issue. It is easy to make a case either way. So I am happy to go with the manager's judgement since he isn't making a clear error.

The fact that:

a) Hucks has had about 2 decent games all season; and
b) our record without him this season is better than our record with him (our slump under Grant pretty much coincided with him coming back into the side)

makes it hard to see how people can claim Roeder is making some huge footballing gaffe by leaving him out.
He might give you something extra off the bench but based on what I've seen so far this season that can't be taken as a given. Physically and mentally he doesn't seem to be at the races any more.

Which is sad, but happens to all players
